Guides
Your main guide for your tour will
often be
myself, Sean who runs Trail Seekers. When I am not able to be
your guide then your guide will be another local who will also know the region
as well as I do. The important word here is local. On the boat ride through the
lakes of Killarney (1.5hr ride) the guide will be even "more local" to
that specific location than even us. This is important as you will see on our
tour.
Getting back to myself, I am married
to Breda and we have six children (four boys and two girls).
I have been biking in this region for over
25 years. In the late 70's early 80's I raced , worked in a bike shop, was a
mechanic to stage race teams, and also raced in multi stage races like the nine
day Ras Tailtean (Irish for Health Race)
Today I prefer to tour with friends and in
the summer it gives me great pleasure to guide guests around this peaceful and
beautiful region of Southwest Ireland. This region is probably one of the finest
biking regions in the world. Past guests have agreed and I am sure you will to
when you tour it with us.
The Picture shows me with two happy Guests at an unusual
crossroads. Unusual in that it has a signpost. In these beautiful but remote
regions a good guide is a must if one is not to get lost.
Most cyclists you will meet who have toured here will confirm
that this must be one of the best places in the world tour. Why? Great scenery,
quiet roads over rolling hills with the occasional short mountain pass, friendly
entertaining people, excellent accommodation and fine food – In short all the
ingredients for a memorable week. Thus we can boldly say with confidence that a
tour with us will be a tour you will never forget. We look forward to your
company.
